Hey Everybody,
Things didn’t quite go as well as we had hoped Thursday night. We wanted to take a lead into the second leg in Houston on Sunday, but we just couldn’t find the back of the net. On the positive, our away form has been great lately. At least we don’t have to dig ourselves out of a hole. Should be a fun day, hopefully we will have a lot of traveling support.
I’m still a bit banged up from that training accident last Tuesday, but things with my foot are healing everyday. I hope by game time the foot is a non-issue. If not ,I got through the last game okay, so if I have to bite the bullet again so be it.
Today late after training I was getting treatment on my foot when one of the players came back into the treatment room saying that Chris Eylander had his car stolen at Starfire while we were training or just after we had finished. This reminds me a story my ex-teammate told me about when he played at AC Milan. One of his teammates, who was an Italian legend, had bought a new Ferrari. Within the first couple of days he had owned the car, it was stolen. This became pretty big news as you can imagine. A couple of days later the car was returned with a note attached, ”Next time you buy a new car let us know!” What can you say, I hope the people who stole Eylander’s car are Sounders fans.
Looking forward to a good week of training. Can’t wait to get down to Houston and help get us into the next round!

Amazing you played through an injury given your quality stops! Get better soon. We may need some PK stops to advance.
And tell Eylander we’re on the lookout!
