Hey Everybody,
Good day of training at Starfire. A little warm, but who’s complaining. Looks like we don’t have any new injury worries for the weekend. Not sure if we’re getting anybody back who missed the last game. With the exception of the suspended Marshall, we should have everybody available.
Just finished watching the US-Costa Rica game. Not a great night for the US. It is a difficult place to play and we have a bad history at that stadium. When you are 2 down after 13 minutes you are giving yourself a huge hill to climb. Easy to question some of the tactical decisions after the game is over, but a lot of guys on the field haven’t been playing a whole lot with their teams in Europe. Maybe the fitness levels aren’t what they need to be. I was surprised Conor Casey wasn’t in the squad after his recent run of form, especially since there wasn’t a real target man on the field tonight. The team just didn’t look like they were up for the fight. That’s what disappoints me the most, you can have a bad day passing the ball but you can always run, tackle and fight. Big game in Chicago this Saturday against Honduras. Lose this game and qualifying is no longer a forgone conclusion. Lets hope the boys can bounce back and get back on track for 2010.
Starting to wind down with the physical side of training, so tomorrow is more about tactics for how we are going to get that win at Chivas. So come on Sounders! Lets break this streak of draws and get back to the top of the table.
Kasey

Hey Kasey!
Speaking of xbox, my husband just showed me a video of Natal which is a new project they are working on. I’m personally amazed! If you haven’t seen it, heres one of the videos showing it off. There is a soccer game shown in it for a moment as well!

Btw, I noticed that you occationally trade jerseys with other teams. Do you decide to do that before the game? Or do you base it on something? You go throu them a lot I would guess. Im curious how many jerseys you usually have at one time. How many colors do you have to choose from? I liked the orange you had on at starfire, made it easy to see your movement from far away.
Thats probbly a lot of captain bands to sow on either way.
Oh and I’m curious about any superstitions you might have on game days.
Thanks,
Eva
P.s Have fun kicking Chiva’s butt!!!!
You asked for it and it happened. Conor Casey got the call up…did you use your connections to tell Bob Bradley to call him up?
Good luck tomorrow. Lets end our tie-streak and start another clean-sheet streak.
Oh man that game was hard to watch. I felt so bad for our guys. That crowd was insane.
I thought it was interesting; at the beginning of the game and a couple other times I saw the jerseys flapping like they were in this incredible wind, but I didn’t really see it affecting anything else, like the path of the ball. Sometimes it’s really obvious, even to someone like me. What I did see was the ball skipping and bouncing all over the place, that was crazy! The wind didn’t seem to affect things but the pitch sure did. I’ve never seen anything like that, it looks really difficult to play there. Seems like the other team was used to it, but it still bounced around for them too. Yikes! BUT: we did get one goal! When was the last time we scored anything in that stadium? That was at least a consolation. I’m sure glad those Chivas players are still busy though – I’d hate to play anyone coming off of that kind of frustration! (Even though I know you could handle it.)
Eva – who did I read/hear about, who gave/gives his jersey to a fan after every single game?? The club had to ask him to stop and so he started paying for them out of his own pocket. Eventually a sponsor stepped up to cover it. I thought that was sweet. Maybe it was a guy on the US team playing overseas, and they just talked about it. Mr. K do you know?
I’d love to hear about the superstitions too, Kasey!
